Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Type of method:
shake-flask method to: flask method
Partition coefficient type:
octanol-water
Analytical method:
gas chromatography
Type:
Pow
Partition coefficient:

Remarks on result:
other: Temperature and pH are not reported.
Details on results:
The n-octanol/water coefficient was determined according to the shake flask method, and calculated to be Pow 10100.

The n-octanol/water coefficient was found to be 10100. Results for different ester concentrations in octanol agreed with a mean relative average deviation of 28%. The original ester concentration in octanol was used in the calculations because in all cases only a negligible amount of ester partitioned into the aqueous phase.

Conclusions:
The n-octanol/water coefficient was determined according to the shake flask method, and found to be 10100.
Executive summary:

The partition coefficient of tributyl phosphate was determined using the shake flask method. The resulting samples were analysed using gas chromatography. The partition coefficient was calculated according to the equation P = Co/Cw. The partition coefficient (Pow) was found to be 10100.
