Vanillin concentration (µg/kg) in the soil with time at sludge application rate of 448 144 kg/ha containing 1130 µg of vanillin per kg of sludge:

Mobility of vanillin in crop:
In the control plots, among root and stalk, only the lower stalk contained 5.3 mg/kg vanillin. Root samples from the 448 144kg/ha plots
contained 3.6 mg/kg vanillin; lower stalks contained 2 mg/kg and upper stalk did not contain any detectable compounds. Vanillin detection both
in control and samples indicates natural production.
