The investigation on effects of chlorobenzene in the contact test with earthworm (Eisenia foetida) was performed according to the contact filter paper test, developed by the the EEC to evaluate chemical toxicity (Edwards, 1983). A LC50 value of 29 µg/cm2 after 48h was measured. This test is comparable to the initial sreening test of OECD Guideline 207.
