Description of key information

Simulation tests (biofilm, groundwater-soil microcosms, water/sediment/soil samples from natural sites) showed a potential for biodegradation of chlorobenzene under aerobic conditions.
Chlorobenzene is not degraded either in digested sludge or in sediment under anaerobic conditions. No further study is required due to exposure considerations.

Key value for chemical safety assessment
