Description of key information

Waiving: No data on hydrolysis rate constant available. The substance MPA is readily biodegradable and not subject to hydrolysis, thus no study on hydrolysis is required.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VIII, the hydrolysis study (required in section 9.2.2.1) does not need to be conducted as the substance MPA is readily biodegradable. Furthermore, it can be concluded from the molecular structure of MPA that it does not degrade by hydrolysis as susceptible functional groups are missing.
