EUSES - European Union System for the Evaluation of Substances

The EUSES software helps you carry out assessments of the risks posed by chemicals.

It is the European reference tool for companies, authorities and researchers to prepare their environmental exposure assessments under the Biocidal Products Regulation and the REACH Regulation.

For REACH you can also use Chesar, the chemical safety assessment and reporting tool.

EUSES was updated in 2019 to version 2.2.0 particularly to support the environmental exposure and risk assessment of biocides. New and updated environmental emission scenarios have been added, the emission pathway of direct release to the environment has been included throughout all the assessment steps, and a new version of the SimpleTreat model (4.0), which assesses the fate and distribution of a substance in a sewage treatment plant, is available.

Chemical risk assessment stakeholders' community - call for interest

ECHA is currently developing the Chesar Platform, the chemical risk assessment tool combining Chesar and EUSES, and serving both REACH and Biocide. To prepare the new tool, ECHA is in the process of setting up a stakeholder community. The community will play a key role in collecting and discussing a wide range of scientific proposals, from assessment methodologies and approaches to the usability of the Platform.

We therefore invite all parties interested to be part of this group to reply to this questionnaire.
