Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
Captan Technical is not considered to be an oxidizing substance because the maximum burning rate ofthe test item/cellulose-mixture was lower than the burning rate ofthe reference mixture.
Executive summary:

The aim of this study was the determination ofthe oxidizing properties (solids)
of the test item. The test was performed following EEC directive A.17. In accordance with the provisions of regulation 1272/2008, Annex I, 2.14, it is proposed classification is not required.

Description of key information

The aim of this study was the determination ofthe oxidizing properties (solids)
of the test item. The test was performed following EEC directive A.17. In accordance with the provisions of regulation 1272/2008, Annex I, 2.14, it is proposed classification is not required.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Due to chemical structure captan is not expected to have oxidising properties. All chlorine and oxygen atoms are bond to carbon.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to the EU regulation No 1272/2008 the test substances is not considered to have oxidising properties.
