Have you substituted from using a (potential) substance of very high concern?

If so, we would be very interested in learning more about this substitution and what it has meant for your business. This information would assist in an ongoing European Commission study on the Impacts of REACH Authorisation, which is feeding into the REACH 2017 Review.

Please get in contact with the project manager from the lead contractor (eftec); Mr Rohit Mistry (rohit@eftec.co.uk) or call on +44(0)207 580 5383 if you are able to share any information concerning the substitution of a (potential) substance of very high concern.

IUCLID 6 updated

An update of IUCLID 6 brings three new features:

  • IUCLID hyperlinks: users sharing a IUCLID database can now access certain information, e.g. a dossier, through a hyperlink.
  • DNEL calculator: helps to generate derived no-effect levels for workers and the general population.
  • Public API: can be used by IT developers to make IUCLID communicate with their applications.

In addition, the update contains improvements to the current functionalities and fixes to known issues. More information will be available in a webinar on Thursday 2 February.

You can download the software free-of-charge from the IUCLID website.

Downstream users

Use map for imaging and printing products published

The downstream sector use map for imaging and printing products is now available in the use maps library on our website.

Use maps provide information on uses and conditions of use consolidated at the sector level. Registrants supplying substances to the imaging and printing sector are strongly encouraged to use the information from the use map to prepare their 2018 registrations, when updating their existing registration dossiers and for the generation of the exposure scenarios for communication.

We encourage downstream user sectors that have not started to prepare their use maps to do so now.
