ECHA accelerates REACH dissemination
ECHA will this year disseminate information contained in the REACH registration dossiers on all registered phase-in substances. On 1 March the database contained 691 records.

Forum elects a new chair for its second term
Forum members gathered in Helsinki from 1-3 March 2011 to discuss their work programme, to kick off the second enforcement project with Downstream Users and to work towards a third enforcement project involving customs authorities on the import of chemical substances.

ECHA meets the three-month deadline for performing the completeness check on REACH registrations
Registration numbers have been granted for 20 175 of the 20 723 dossiers that were submitted by the first registration deadline, resulting in a total of 3 483 phase-in substances being registered under REACH. Dissemination of information from these dossiers has been accelerated.
