ECHA Newsletter spring issue published In the second issue of 2012 we report back on the milestones achieved at the beginning of the year, namely the publication of the C&L Inventory, the Evaluation Report 2011, kicking off substance evaluation under REACH and publishing information on consumer articles containing substances of very high concern. To keep our eye on the ball – the upcoming 2013 deadline – we offer you best practice in data sharing, valuable advice on how to prepare compliant and high quality dossiers and highlight the upcoming events in Helsinki in May: ECHA Stakeholders' Day and Helsinki Chemicals Forum. In addition, we've included participant interviews from the enforcement conference held in Brussels in March and a recap of the recent Management Board meeting. |

NEWS ALERTS ECHA to update REACH-IT and IUCLID 5 ECHA is going to release a new version of IUCLID 5 in late May 2012 and subsequently a new release of REACH-IT. At the same time, ECHA will start publishing more information on chemical substances. The new IUCLID 5.4 release will bring about changes mainly on how certain substance information included in the Chemical Safety Report (CSR) is reported. In addition, certain information included in the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) will be made publicly available. ECHA publishes a Question and Answer document to inform stakeholders in advance about the impact on the upcoming submissions of registration and other dossiers. |

ON THE WEB General Report 2011 published 05/4/2012 Downstream user webinar, 23 April 2012 ECHA reminds that on 23 April a webinar targeted at downstream users who receive exposure scenarios for registered substances will take place. In addition, a short part of the webinar will be dedicated to the issue of communicating uses to those registering for 2013. |
