Restriction proposal for 2,4-dinitrotoluene submitted
We have submitted a proposal to restrict the placing on the market or the use of 2,4-dinitrotoluene (EC 204-450-0, CAS 121-14-2) as a substance in articles for supply to the general public or to professional workers in concentrations above 0,1 %.
The proposal will now be evaluated by our scientific committees for Risk Assessment (RAC) and Socio-Economic Analysis (SEAC) and will be subject to a consultation. We will shortly pre-publish the Annex XV report describing the proposal on our website. The consultation will be launched after RAC and SEAC agree that restriction proposal conforms to the requirements under REACH. At the same time, we will formally publish the Annex XV report.
Due to website development work, the status in the registry of intentions will be updated to 'Submitted' only later.
