Two studies were available on the toxicity of CS2 for soil micro-organisms. In the key study, CS2 the 5-d EC50 in a clay loam soil was found to be 0.21 mg/kg and the 14-d EC50 was 2.1 mg/kg. In the suporting study, nitrification was completely inhibited at low concentration (10 mg/kg). No quantitative information can be obtained from the study.
