Aquatic toxicity tests have been performed for a number of organims. The
results are summarised below.
EC10 or NOEC (mg/L)
* CS2 has a very short evaporation half life (several hours in water in
a normal test). Therefore special precautions were taken to avoid
evaporation. A 21 day study is not feasible.
** There were two independent tests with Poecilia Reticulata, the
tests gave very comparable results with an LC50
of resp 3 and 4 mg/L.
The tests span several organisms and long term vs short term exposures.
Based on these data the PNEC for aquatic systems equals the lowest
NOEC/100 or 0.01 mg/L.
