ECHA removes list of substances not benefitting from reduced information requirements

The list of substances that are likely to meet the criteria of REACH Annex III has been removed from ECHA’s website.

Helsinki, 10 May 2023 - The list was created in 2016 to help registrants interpret the criteria of Annex III of REACH when preparing their registrations for the 2018 registration deadline. As the deadline has passed, and new information or predictive methods may have emerged since then, ECHA has decided to remove the list from its website.

Companies can continue registering their low-volume substances with a reduced set of information, covering only the physicochemical properties, if the substances do not fulfil the criteria of Annex III. As before, the considerations must be reported in the IUCLID registration dossier. If the substance fulfils any of the Annex III criteria, it must be registered with the full set of physicochemical, toxicological and ecotoxicological information.
