High quality NOEC/L(E)C10 values for chronic toxicity to freshwater fish are based on the fish species, Pimephales promelas, Oncorhynchus mykiss, and Brachydanio rerio. The NOEC/L(E)C10 values for fish range from 40 μg/l for Brachydanio rerio (Dave & Xiu, 1991) to 15420 μg/l for the Brachydanio rerio (Kienle et al., 2009).
The following table indicates those NOEC or EC10 values that have been carried forward for the HC5-& PNEC derivation

Chronic toxicity values are reported for marine fish species. EC10 values range from 3599 μg Ni/L for growth of the topsmelt, Atherinops affinis (Huntet al., 2002), to 20760 μg Ni/L for growth of the sheepshead minnow, Cyprinodon variegates (GolderAssociates, 2007).
