Toxicity to other aquatic organisms
High quality acute toxicity values are available for different species, with the lowest EC50being 0.146 mg Ni/L for Xenopus laevis(Hopfer et al., 1991) and the highest EC50being 3.740 mg Ni/L forBufo terrestris(Fort et al., 2006). The LC50values range from 0.420 mg Ni/L forAmbystoma opacum(Birge et al., 1978) to 21.42 mg Ni/L forAmbystoma opacum(Hopfer et al, 1991).
Amphibians:
NOEC/L(E) C10 data are available for different species of amphibians, with values ranging from 0.084 µg Ni/L to 13.15 mg Ni/L, both values fromXenopus laevis(Hopferet al., 1991).
