ECHA is reviewing existing restriction entries and carrying out preparatory work for possible submission of Annex XV restriction proposals. The table provides information on the current activities. ECHA may launch consultations or calls for comments and evidence in relation to these activities.

Collect and summarise various information on the potential presence of CMR 1A and 1B substances in childcare articles to support the Commission’s preparation of a restriction proposal as per REACH Article 68(2).

The work should be published by the end of November 2023.

PVC and PVC additives - - Prepare an investigation report Collect information on the potential risk to human health and the environment posed by PVC additives and PVC itself, the socio-economic impact of a possible restriction and the need for a European Union-wide action beyond and measures already in place.

 Prepare an Annex XV restriction dossier Prepare an Annex XV restriction dossier addressing at the minimum the risk for children from exposure to TCEP, TCPP and TDCP in flexible polyurethane (PUR) foams in childcare articles and residential upholstered furniture.
