Description of key information

Only a few data are available on the toxicity to soil organisms of charcoal. and activated carbon (similar substance). TCharcoal shows a low adsorptiveas well as a bioaccumulative (log Pow of < 1.474 and log Koc <1.5).
From the relevent studies on charcoal and activated carbon it can be concluded that the exposure to charcoal has no adverse effects to soil organisms.
