Additional information

Low bioconcentration factors of 1,2,3-trichloropropane ranging from 5 to 13 were found in tests with common carp (Cyprinus carpio) carried out in accordance with OECD Guideline 305 over six weeks in a continuous flow-through system (MITI 1992). The very low potential for bioaccumulation of the substance is supported by the low value for the organic carbon/water partition coefficient in a range of 77 -95 kg/L (Walton et al. 1992) and the low octanol/water partition coefficient of 2.63 (NITE 2009). It is thus concluded that 1,2,3-trichloropropane will not accumulate in living tissue.
