Remarks:
According to ECHA's “Guidance on information requirements and chemial safety assessment”, “Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance”, for organic substances (with the exception of peroxides) testing does not need to be carried out for substances if: · The substance does not contain oxygen, fluorine or chlorine; or · The substance contains oxygen, fluorine or chlorine and these elememts are chemically bonded only to carbon · Inorganic substances that do not contain oxygen or halogens do not need to be tested. As this applies to test item 1,2,3-trichloropropane, waiving of testing on oxidizing properties is being proposed (see attached original expert statement of Dow Benelux N.V.).
