Description of key information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VII, the study does not need to be conducted because on the basis of its chemical structures, there are no chemical groups in the product assocoiated with explosive properties. Calcium  lactate does not contain any of the group recognized as associated with explosive risk (Brethrick, Handbook of Reactive Chemical Hazards, Butterworth, London, 1979). Furthermore, its 'Oxygen Balance' of -78 indicates a low explosive risk.
