Executive summary:

In a non-GLP study according to OECD 117 the partition coefficient of succinic anhydride has been determined using the HPLC method. All relevant validity criteria were fulfilled. The analytical method for determination of succinic anhydride was validated and tested with satisfactory results in regards to elution time. The partition coefficient (n-octanol/water) of succinic anhydride was determined to be Log10 Pow = 2.44.
