In a study 2,6 -di-tert-butyl-4 -methylphenol (BHT) was found to have a pKa dissociation constant of 12.2.
The pKa of BHT was determined by microelectrometric titration in 50 % ethanol-water solution and corrected to pKa in water solution at 37 ºC. The pKa of BHT was 12.07.
