First-aid measures

General information : Not expected to present a significant hazard under anticipated conditions of normal use.

First aid measures

- Inhalation : Remove victim to fresh air. If you feel unwell, seek medical advice (show the label where possible).

- Skin contact : Remove affected clothing and wash all exposed skin area with mild soap and water. May produce skin irritation. Obtain medical attention if pain, blinking or redness persist.

- Eye contact : Rinse immediately with plenty of water. May cause eye irritation. Obtain ophthalmologist attention if pain, blinking, tears or redness persist.

- Ingestion : Do not induce vomiting. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If you feel unwell, seek medical advice.

Note to physician : Treat symptomatically. Repeated or prolonged skin contact may cause irritation.

Fire-fighting measures

Flammable class : Not classified as flammable but will burn.

Hazardous combustion products : Carbon monoxide. Carbon dioxide.

Extinguishing media : Foam. Water spray. Dry powder. Carbon dioxide. Sand. Do not use a heavy water stream.

Surrounding fires : Use water spray or fog for cooling exposed containers.

Protection against fire : Do not enter fire area without proper protective equipment, including respiratory protection. Exercise caution when fighting any chemical fire.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions : Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Do not breathe dust. Do not breathe vapour. Equip cleanup crew with proper protection.

Technical measures : Avoid the generation of airborne dust. Eliminate every possible source of ignition.

Take precautionary measures against static discharges.

Environmental precautions : Prevent entry to sewers and public waters.

Notify authorities if product enters sewers or public waters.

Clean up methods : Do not use water for cleaning. Collect spills and put it into appropriated container.

Recover and reclaim or recycle, if practical. Dispose in a safe manner in accordance with local/national regulations.

Handling and storage

General : Avoid the generation of airborne dust. Do not breathe dust. Do not breathe vapour.

Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.

Personal protection : Wear recommended personal protective equipment.

Technical protective measures : Use special care to avoid static electric charges. Provide proper grounding.

Storage : Keep container closed when not in use. Store in dry, cool, well-ventilated area.

Storage temperature : < 50°C

Storage - away from : Oxidizer. Strong acids. Strong bases. Direct sunlight. In case of food use, do not store together with harmful, toxic or very toxic products.

Handling : Wash hands and other exposed areas with mild soap and water before eat, drink or smoke and when leaving work.

Packing : Paper bags with polyethylene liner. Fibre keg. Big-bag.

Exposure controls / personal protection

- Respiratory protection : Where excessive dust may result, use approved respiratory protection equipment.

- Hand protection : Use PVC gloves.

- Skin protection : If skin contact or contamination of clothing is likely, protective clothing should be worn. Use safety shoes resistant to chemical products.

- Eye protection : Safety glasses with side guards should be worn to prevent injury from airborne particles and/or other eye contact with this product.

- Ingestion : When using, do not eat, drink or smoke.

Hygiene mesures : Wash hands and other exposed areas with mild soap and water before eat, drink or smoke and when leaving work. Wash clothing before re-using.

Technical protective measures : Provide local exhaust or general room ventilation to minimize exposure to dust.

Stability and reactivity : Stable under recommended storage conditions.

Hazardous decomposition products : On exposure to high temperature, may decompose, releasing toxic/flammable vapours.

Materials to avoid : Strong acids. Oxidizing agent. Alkali Solution.

Conditions to avoid : Sources of ignition. Heat. Decomposes above 100 °C. May decompose upon contact with : Strong acids.

Disposal considerations

General : Avoid release to the environment. Dispose in a safe manner in accordance with local/national regulations.

Disposal method : Recover or recycle. If not possible burn in an approved incinerator.

Contaminated packaging : Packaging which cannot be decontaminated should be disposed of like the material.
