Description of key information

There are data for two manufacturing processes.  Neither generate particles small enough to be respirable into the human lung.

Additional information

Most (95%) of commercial sodium cyanide is in the form of bricks and granules. An intermediate form of cyanide salt is produced as a powder during the manufacturing process. There are 2 processes (A and B) which can be used to make a powder. Neither process generates particles which are small enough to be respirable into the deep lung (5 microns diameter). The mean diameter of particles manufactured according to Process A is between 180 and 355 microns, and in process B, between 40 and 180 microns. Less than 8% of particles generated by process B are under 40 microns, so only an insignificant amount would be below 5 microns.
