The adsorption behaviour of cloquintocet-mexyl was investigated in a reliable guideline and GLP compliant study (Keller, 1990). This study indicates that cloquintocet-mexyl strongly adsorb to a large range of soils, though adsorption is reversible. The adsorption behaviour of CGA153433, a metabolite of cloquintocet-mexyl, has been investigated in a reliable study (Hill, 1994) and shows that the metabolite is slightly mobile to immobile in soil. As a result of this, it is expected that the parent and the metabolite will largely remain in the soil compartment following application.
