The bioaccumulation of cloquintocet-mexyl in an aquatic system was investigated in a GLP and guideline compliant study. The study is considered to be reliable without restrictions. The bioconcentration factor (BCF) of cloquintocet-mexyl in fish was observed to be 621 in whole fish and the depuration half-time of cloquintocet-mexyl was ranging from 0.3 to 0.6 days. Therefore, bioconcentration of cloquintocet-mexyl is not considered to be of concern as it is rapidly metabolised and eliminated in fish. Furthermore, cloquintocet-mexyl rapidly dissipates in soil and water/sediment systems and the primary metabolite of cloquintocet-mexyl has negligible bioaccumulation potential. Therefore, the potential for bioaccumulation of cloquintocet-mexyl and its relevant metabolites in the environment is very low.
