Additional information

Cloquintocet-mexyl has a low vapour pressure at environmental temperatures; therefore, emissions to air will be low and the compound can be considered to remain largely in the soil compartment. The substance is rapidly degraded in soil by microbial organisms (half-life between 0.4 to 2.4 days) therefore, persistence is not an issue. Cloquintocet-mexyl is strongly adsorbed to soil, while its relevant metabolite is considered to be slightly mobile to immobile.

In the aquatic environment, the substance is rapidly dissipated from the water phase by adsorption onto sediment. Degradation in the sediment compartment is expected to be rapid under relevant environmental conditions.
