In accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex IX and X, the toxicity testing on soil invertebrates does not need to be conducted as direct exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely. Indirect exposure however cannot be excluded but, based on the test substance's dissociation products' ready biodegradability as well as based on their low sorption and bioaccumulation potential (very low logPow), significant distribution into soil exposing soil organisms is not expected.
