Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
After inhalation: Take affected persons into fresh air and keep quiet. Seek medical treatment in case of complaints.
After skin contact: Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly. Immediate medical treatment
necessary. Failure to treat burns can prevent wounds from healing.
After eye contact: IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present
and easy to do.
Continue rinsing. Protect unharmed eye. Call a doctor immediately.
After swallowing: Drink plenty of water and provide fresh air. Do not induce vomiting; call for medical help
immediately.

Suitable extinguishing agents: The product is not flammable. Use fire extinguishing methods suitable to
surrounding conditions.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Formation of toxic gases is possible during heating or in
case of fire.
Protective equipment for firefighters: Wear self-contained respiratory protective device. Wear fully protective suit.
Additional information: Dispose of fire debris and contaminated fire fighting water in accordance with official
regulations.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: Ensure adequate ventilation, Wear
protective clothing. Remove persons from danger area.
Environmental precautions: Do not allow to enter sewers/ surface or ground water.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Pick up mechanically. Avoid formation of dust. Dispose of
the material collected according to regulations.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling: Wear protective clothing. Avoid contact with the eyes and skin. Prevent formation of
dust. Provide suction extractors if dust is formed. Use only in well ventilated areas.
Information about fire - and explosion protection: Keep ignition sources away - Do not smoke.
Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles: Use only receptacles specifically permitted for this
substance/product. Store receptacle in a well ventilated area.
Information about storage in one common storage facility: Do not store together with alkalis (caustic solutions).
Store away from flammable substances.

Exposure controls / personal protection
General protective and hygienic measures: The usual precautionary measures are to be adhered to when handling
chemicals. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work. Use skin protection cream for skin protection. Do
not inhale dust. Avoid contact with the eyes and skin.
Respiratory protection: Use suitable respiratory protective device when high concentrations are present.
Short term filter device: Filter P2, Filter FFP2
Protection of hands: Protective gloves
Material of gloves: Butyl rubber, BR, Nitrile rubber, NBR
The exact break trough time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be
observed.
Eye protection: Tightly sealed goggles or face shield.
Body protection: Protective work clothing
Stability and reactivity
Chemical stability: No decomposition if used and stored according to specifications.
Conditions to avoid: Avoid dust formation.
Possibility of hazardous reactions: Reacts with strong alkali. Under the influence of heat the formation of
hydrochloric acid vapours is possible.
Disposal considerations
Disposal must be made according to official regulations.
