Description of key information

Based on the results of the test the Rare Earth chlorides test samples need not to be classified as being corrosive to steel (Sevin, 1981).

Additional information

Two Rare Earth chloride solutions were tested containing (expressed as oxides): La2O3 (25 versus 62%), CeO2 (51 versus 23%), Nd2O3 (19 versus 13%), Pr6O11 (5 versus 2%).
