Description of key information

OECD Guideline 221, GLP, key study, validity 1:
- 7d-ErC50 (Lemna minor) = 1.5 mg/L (measured conconcentration, as main ingredient);
- 7d-NOECb (Lemna minor) = 0.105 mg/L (measured concentration, as main ingredient).

(For more details please read CSR available in section 13).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for freshwater plants:
1.5 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for freshwater plants:
0.105 mg/L

Additional information

One key study of reliability 1 is available to assess the effects of the active substance THPS on aquatic macrophytes. This study was performed on the THPS in solution in static conditions, with the aquatic plant Lemna minor.

Results are expressed in the table below (measured concentration, as main ingredient):

Test method

Endpoint / Type of test

Result (ErC50, mg/L)

Result (NOECb, mg/L)

The retained endpoints values for chemical safety assessment are:

- 7d-ErC50 (Lemna minor) = 1.5 mg/L (main ingredient);

- 7d-NOECb (Lemna minor) = 0.105 mg/L (main ingredient).
