Description of key information
The relative density was determined for the THPS 100% dry active substance to be 1.53 at 21.5°C and for the THPS 75% aqueous solution to be 1.39 at 22°C.
The value determinated for the commercial THPS 75% aqueous solution is used for chemical safety assessment.
Key value for chemical safety assessment
- Relative density at 20C:
- 1.39
Additional information
The relative density of solid THPS dry active substance (100%) and THPS 75% aqueous solution were determined according to OECD 109, EU Method A.3 (Relative Density) and US EPA/FIFRA subdivision D§63-7 guidelines under GLP.
The relative density of THPS dry active substance was determined relative to distilled water using a pycnometer at 21°C (294K). Four determinations were made, giving a result at 1.530 (g/mL) as mean of 1.532, 1.487, 1.576 and 1.523.
The relative density of THPS 75% aqueous solution was determined relative to water at 4°C using a pycnometer at 22°C. Two determinations were made, giving a relative density of 1.392 (g/mL), mean of 1.392 and 1.392.
The value 1.39 g/mL determinated for the commercial THPS 75% aqueous solution is used for chemical safety assessment.
