Description of key information
The overall water solubility of this substance is determined by its phenol content and can thus be estimated to be approx. 85 g/L at 20°C.
Key value for chemical safety assessment
- Water solubility:
- 85 g/L
- at the temperature of:
- 20 °C
Additional information
The water solubility of Bisphenol A-Harz with only 2 wt% phenol was determined by the flask method (see endpoint record KS_CURRENTA-2009). Based on the experimental results, only the upper limit of the water solubility (20°C) of the test item Bisphenol A-Harz can be concluded as ca. 1000 mg/l. (single value from measurement were in the range of ca. 250 - 650 mg/l).
The water solubility of phenol is a lot higher: 84 g/L at 20°C.
The overall water solubility of this substance is determined by its phenol content (40 wt%) and can thus be estimated to be approx. 85 g/L at 20°C.
The water solubility of Bisphenol A is 300 mg/L at 25 °C.
