Description of key information

The experimentally determined logPow of o-toluidine was 1.4 at 24.5°C and a pH value of 7.9.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Log Kow (Log Pow):
at the temperature of:
24.5 °C

Additional information

Due to the poor documentation, the experimentally determined logKow is supported by estimated data.

The logarithmic octanol-water partition coefficients (log Kow) for the neutral and protonated form of the substance were predicted using the QSAR calculation of the Estimation Program Interface (EPI) Suite v 4.11. The log Kow was estimated to be 1.62 for the neutral form and -2.06 for the protonated form. These values are in good agreement with the experimental value.
