Description of key information

The experimental determined dissociation constant of o-toluidine was 4.45 at 25°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

pKa at 20°C:
4.45

Additional information

Several results for the dissociation constant of o-toluidine were found in literature. The chosen value was experimentally determined. This value is supported by a calculated value estimated by ACD/pKa DB included in ACD/labs 14.01 Release. The results show that this substance presents mainly as neutral form under environmentally relevant pH 5 - 9.
