Description of key information

The most reliable LC50 after 96 hours exposure to Monoglyme determined in the acute toxicity to fish was > 5000 mg/L.
The US EPA EPI Suite ECOSAR QSAR predicts for Monoglyme a LC 50, 96 h, fish of ca. 7150 mg/L.
Assuming that the chronic fish toxicity would be by a factor of 10 lower than the LC 50 after 96 h this would result in a chronic NOEC for fish exposed to Monoglyme of 500 and 715 mg/L, respectively.
It is supported by US EPA ECOSAR estimation of the chronic NOEC fish of ca. 550 mg/L which is regarded to be non-toxic.
Based on this chronic QSAR result a chronic fish test is not justified because of animal welfare reasons.
