Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
General advice : Seek medical advice immediately.
Remove contaminated clothing immediately and store/dispose of safely.
Symptoms of poisoning may not occur for many hours, therefore keep under medical supervision for at least 48 hours.
Remove affected person from danger area, lay him down.
After inhalation : Ensure supply of fresh air.
Take medical treatment.
After contact with skin : In case of contact with skin wash off immediately with soap and water
Consult a doctor if skin irritation persists.
After contact with eyes : In case of contact with eyes rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical advice
After ingestion : Summon a doctor immediately.
Rinse out mouth and give plenty of water to drink.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media : alcohol-resistant foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder, water spray.
Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons: Full water jet.
Special hazards from the substance itself, its combustion products or from its vapours: In the event of fire the following can be released:
- carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide
Special protective equipment for firefighters: Use self-contained breathing apparatus and wear full protective suit.
Further information : Do not inhale explosion and/or combustion gases.
Fire residues and contaminated firefighting water must be disposed of in accordance with the local regulations.
Cool endangered containers with water spray jet.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions : Use personal protective equipment.
Keep people away and stay on the upwind side.
Ensure adequate ventilation.
Environmental precautions : Do not allow to enter drains or waterways.
Do not discharge into the subsoil/soil.
Handling and storage
Handling
Advice on safe handling : Provide good ventilation of working area (local exhaust ventilation if necessary).
Air monitoring obligatory.
Avoid exposure - obtain special instructions before use.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Keep away from sources of ignition - no smoking.
Take precautionary measures against electrostatic loading.
Cool endangered containers by water spray.
Storage
Advice on common storage : Do not store together with oxidizing agents.
Further information : Keep only in the original container, tightly closed, in a well ventilated place.
Protect from atmospheric moisture and water.
Protect from heat and direct sunlight.
Storage according to EEC regulations concerning toxic substances and preparations.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Personal protection equipment
General protective measures : Do not inhale gases/vapours/aerosols.
Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
Hygiene measures : Remove soiled or soaked clothing immediately.
At work do not eat, drink, smoke or take drugs.
Keep away from foodstuffs and beverages.
Wash hands before breaks and after work.
Use barrier skin cream.
Respiratory protection : in case of formation of vapours/aerosols: Multi-purpose filter ABEK
Hand protection : gloves made of chloroprene (CR, e.g. Neoprene) gloves made of butyl (IIR).
Eye protection : Safety goggles.
Skin and body protection : protective clothing.
Emergency eye wash fountains and safety showers should be available.
Stability and reactivity
Thermal decomposition : Not measured
Hazardous reactions : Reactions with oxidizing agents.
Reactions with alcohols.
Reactions with amines.
Reactions with catalysts.
Risk of polymerisation.
Reactions with strong acids and alkalies.
Hazardous decomposition products: Hazardous decomposition products:
Carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide
Disposal considerations
Product : In accordance with local authority regulations, take to special waste incineration plant.
Contaminated packaging : If empty contaminated containers are recycled or disposed of, the receiver must be informed about possible hazards.
