EC number: 204-707-7
CAS number: 124-64-1
Half life of hydrolysis of the substance THPS (read across): 131 d (pH 5) / 72 d (pH 7) / 7 d (pH 9)
read across approach for THPC with THPS is considered applicable, as the
organic phosphonium cation is the same for both salts. The different
anions (chlorid and sulfat) have no great influence on the solubility
(both very high), the vapour pressure (both extrem low), and the log Kow
(both extrem low and negativ).
the oxidative degradation of THPS and THPC results in the same main
metabolite THPO, which is far less toxic than THPS or THPC. Therefore the
hydrolysis of the cationic part of the THPx salts is assumed to be
independent of the anion in the test item.
