Description of key information
TS-ED 532 did not have an inhibitory effect of the respiration rate in activated sludge in the concentration range 10-160 mg/L.. The IC50 was > 143 mg/L (expressed as a limit value and the NOEC was 143 (highest concentration tested), as no effect on oxygen consumption was observed.

TS-ED 532 was tested for inhibitory effect on the respiration rate of activated sludge from a wastewater treatment plant. The study was performed in accordance with OECD guideline 209 and EN ISO standard 8192. Due to low water solubility, the water solubility could not be determined precisely, as the solubility was below the detection limit of the test. TS-ED 532 was therefore tested in an emulsion in concentrations exceeding the solubility concentration. TS-ED 532 did not have an inhibitory effect of the respiration rate in activated sludge in the concentration range 10-160 mg/L.. The IC50 was > 143 mg/L (expressed as a limit value and the NOEC was 143 (highest concentration tested), as no effect on oxygen consumption was observed.
