Description of key information

The flash point of TS-ED 532 was determined to 244°C at 101.3 kPa.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
244 °C

Additional information

In the preliminary test, a clear flash point was observed at about 240 °C. Therefore, the main test was also performed with a Pensky-Martens flash point apparatus. The main test was performed in duplicate. A clear flash point was observed at 242 °C and 244 °C, respectively. The mean value was calculated to 243 °C at the actual atmospheric pressure of 98.1 kPa. After correction for the atmospheric pressure, the flash point of TS-ED 532 was determined to 244 °C at 101.3 kPa.

The test was performed in accordance with EU guideline and ISO, DIN and ASTM standards with no deviations.
