Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidising properties and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied

Description of key information

non oxidising (structural considerations)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to REGULATION (EC) No. 1272/2008 (CLP) Annex I, section 2.13.4.1. "For organic substances or mixtures the classification procedure for this class shall not apply if:

(a) the substance or mixture does not contain oxygen, fluorine or chlorine; or

(b) the substance or mixture contains oxygen, fluorine or chlorine and these elements are chemically bonded only to carbon or hydrogen."

This applies to the submission substance.
