Description of key information

The physical and chemical properties of non-nanoforms of carbon black do not indicate a potential to diffuse through membranes of aquatic or terrestrial organisms, because of its inertness, and insolubility in both water and organic solvents. With an aggregate size diameter (ECD) ranging from 300 - 500 nm, bioaccumulation of particulate carbon black is not likely owing to the large diameter of the solid particles.
