- Type of method:
- rotating cylinder
- Details on methods and data evaluation:
- Dustiness values for the respirable, thoracic and inhalable fractions were calculated from the particle size distribution in accordance with DIN EN 481. The released fine dust is deposited on the different impactor stages. The dust masses deposited on the 7 individual stages (linked to the aerodynamic diameter) of the cascade impactor were weighed and the total dustiness derived by adding the deposited masses of all impactor stages, including impactor correction factors.

Data gathering
- Instruments:
- A Heubach dust meter was modified in a way that a 7-stage cascade impactor was inserted instead of the filter. Flow rates were adapted.
