Additional information

A density value of 1.73 g/cm³ at 20 °C is nominated as the key study (Budavari 1996) among the other secondary sources. This peer-reviewed chemical handbook is considered as a reliable source reference in which the original data sources are traceable.

The original references for the other sources (Krono 1992, Millennium 2007) were not available for review and no further information is available. The reliability of these results is not assignable.

According to the CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics (2007, Lide DR Ed, CRC Press) the relative density of the hydrolysis product of titanium tetrachloride, i.e.titanium dioxide is about 4 (anatase = 3.9, brookite = 4.17, rutile = 4.26).
