Description of key information

Not relevant, rapid hydrolysis to insolute TiO2 and HCL whereof based on the structure, surface activity is not expected

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In accordance with Section 2 of REACH Annex XI, the surface tension study does not need to be conducted as the test substance hydrolyses rapidly in contact with water (half-life less than 12 hours).

The hydrolysis products are insoluble in water (solubility < 5 µg/l, as mentioned in water solubility section). It is therefore not technically feasible to measure the surface tension of the test substance or its hydrolysis products.

Furthermore, in accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex VII, surface activity (section 7.6) is not expected based on the chemical structure, and it is not a desirable property of the substance, therefore the study need not be conducted.
