Description of key information

Waived: Stability of the substance in organic solvents is not considered to be critical for interpretation of the fate and/or toxicological studies performed with this substance.

Additional information

In accordance with Column 1 of REACh Annex IX, testing of stability in organic solvents is only required if stability of the substance is considered to be critical (e.g., for interpretation of fate and/or toxicological studies). Because diphenyl ether is resistant to hydrolysis, oxidation in air, and other modes of degradation, stability in this context is viewed to be not of concern.
