Additional information

There is only one reliable test with phthalic acid on microorganisms available. The toxicity of phthalic acid to Pseusomonas putida was tested in a 16 hours test with pH adjustment to 7.4. Population growth impairment was used as endpoint. The test was performed according to the ISO 10712 method. An EC50 of 213 mg/l was observed (Sepic, 2003).
