Description of key information

B-TTEGME degrades prior to reaching the boiling point.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
385 °C

Additional information

The mixture B-TTEGME starts to evaporate at pressure of 984 hPa already at 50°C. The fastest weight loss was observed at ca. 385°C. This evaporation is accompanied with an exothermal event. A boiling would be reversible and accompanied with an endothermal event and therefore it is likely to be a decomposition. This observation was also confirmed in further experiments (DSC measurements). Due to this decomposition a boiling point for B-TTEGME cannot be determined.

For the further risk assessment, a boiling point of 385°C is assumed.
