Description of first aid measures:
General advice: Remove soiled or soaked clothing immediately Strong influence of the product specially on the skin or respiratory tract requires medical attention. In case of breathing difficulties, give oxygen
If inhaled: When inhaled remove to fresh air and seek medical aid.
In case of skin contact: In case of contact with skin wash off immediately with plenty of water. Start medical treatment immediately
In case of eye contact: In case of contact with eyes rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical advice
If swallowed: Summon a doctor immediately.

Symptoms: Methaemoglobinemia Cyanosis
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
Treatment: Treat symptomatically. When swallowed, if necessary flush stomach. Keep under medical supervision, even if no symptoms are occurring.
Suitable extinguishing media: Dry powder. Carbon dioxide.
Unsuitable extinguishing media: Water. Foam.

Further information: Collect contaminated firefighting water separately, must not be discharged into the drains. Fire residues and contaminated firefighting water must be disposed of in accordance with the local regulations.

Remove persons to safety. Protection through wearing of tightly closed chemical protection suit and a self-contained breathing apparatus. If ventilation insufficient, use a respiratory protection apparatus.

General protective measures: Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Do not inhale vapours It is essential for pregnant women to avoid inhaling the product and not to let it come in contact with the skin. A workplace risk assessment must be carried out in order to determine the correct engineering control measures and personal protective equipment. Protective clothing should be selected specifically for the working place, depending on concentration and quantity of the hazardous substances handled. The resistance of the protective clothing to chemicals should be ascertained with the respective supplier.

The protective gloves to be used must comply with the specifications of EC directive 89/686/EEC and the resultant standart EN374. This recommandation applies only to the product stated in this safety data sheet and supplied by us as well as to the purpose specified by us. When dissolving in or mixing with other substances and under conditions deviating from those stated in EN374 please contact the supplier of CE-approved gloves.
